Headlight washers

Post by PaulRUK3 » Fri Jan 25, 2019 7:53 am

Whenever my headlight washers operate, one of the ‘covers’ doesn’t retract correctly and the bottom of it always sits proud of the bumper. How can I get the washers to operate but not retract so that I can see what the problem is? It has got to the stage where I can’t even push it back down, it just pushes itself back up. Failing that, how do I get the cover off?

If its raised slightly just grab the cover and ease it out fully.
If not get someone to activate the washers and grab it when its extended.
It will probably either need stripped and cleaned or replaced.
The units are around £70 each.
Not sure on access but they may be able to be removed via the bumper grill underneath each washer.

That is the correct wiring.

The headlight plug has 3 connectors and 5 wires. Two yellow goes to one connector, two black goes to one connector and one green to the last connector.
