BMW Z4 e89 SDrive23i (2.5 litre) Sept. 2010 - Only about 36,000 miles - Intermittent low oil pressure light problem.
The car was due an oil service in December, but a couple of weeks ago the red oil pressure light came on. I stopped the car and upon restarting, it was fine and drove home OK. I had the oil service done, but a few days later the light came on again (again it was fine after stopping and restarting - no obvious bad engine noise). I then had the oil pressure switch replaced with genuine BMW part. Fine for a few days and maybe 50 - 60 miles in a variety of driving conditions, but last night it came on again. As usual, I stopped and restarted and all was fine. Anyone any ideas as to what I do now?

An oil warning light is never good. Take it to a garage you trust.

Oil pressure warning light?!?!
No leaks, no top ups have been required - it stays on max.
Sensor replaced with brand new OEM.
It’s going back next week, will see what the codes say.

Indy confirmed codes were 30C1 and 30C4 - pointing to oil pressure control fault.
It’s going into Main Dealer for them to check actual pressures - which the Indy says he can’t do.
