Alarming rain

Post by SpiketheBike » Thu Oct 11, 2018 11:54 pm

Over the last month or so we have had 3 really heavy downpours of rain. Each time, the Z4s alarm has gone off. No thunder or lightening, just very heavy rain. I'm assuming I've got a water ingress issue. Before I pay a garage £40 an hour to spend 10 hours not finding anything, I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem?

"£40 an hour"? Wow, that's cheap! Pay it, pay it.

I knew someone would say that if I just plucked a figure of of the air. 😁

We've had the alarm go off a few times in heavy rain over the last few years.

Search the forums and you'll find other owners reporting the issue. It may not be water ingress. For example - note the last post in the thread below.

My previous E89 (2010 ) used to do this - it was fixed by the dealer an accordance with the BMW instructions - which is I’m told, nothing more than a layer of baking foil on the inside of the door skin.

So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.
