Handbrake warning light and disc warning light has come on together in yellow on the dashboard, and cruise stopped working. When i switch the ignition off a large park warning sign comes on in the dashboard.

Any ideas😩

Check your battery condition. From what I've read on the forum, these type of faults often come down to a dodgy battery not being fully charged.

If your handbrake is no longer working it will have been caused by a low battery. The code usually shows up as a failed wheel speed sensor and the only way to have this sorted is to have the software updated by BMW or a specialist. It cost about £125 from BMW to get it done.

Just a word of advice, if you have a USB in the glove box ensure that this is unplugged prior to the updates being made. I left mines in and the garage couldn't get the updates to take until the USB was removed.

Thats a chargeable event?
So Dick Turpin lives if we have to pay to correct BMW flakey software.

Yup and the worst but is depending on the dealer they might not just take your word for it and instead insist that they need to do an inspection first so charge around £162 minimum at current rates to determine that is the issue and then charge for the coding.

Fortunately there is two different dealerships in Edinburgh, one will do whatever you ask because if it doesn’t resolve the issue they know it’s not their fault but the other won’t just change a part or perform an update at a customers rewurst, they want to charge a small fortune for investigation work. And prices vary widely between the two so who knows what other dealerships are charging.
