Germany isn’t the free for all race track some think it is!
Yes there are de restricted sections but I’m not brave enough to risk someone deciding to overtake.
The Germans tend to be very lane disciplined - but there are Brits on the Autobahn as well!
The other problem is MrsK is in the passenger seat.
140mph roof off I can still hear her!!!!

I live in hope of V Max one day

The noise from the mechanicals was  but from the biological next to me was louder!
The scenery passes quite quickly so concentration is required - her screams are not conducive to any concentration whatsoever!!

Nice to be able to say that Ive often slowed to what seemed pedestrian 110mph - quite honestly tho, a 100mph is just a nice comfortable speed.

One thing I’ve learned from many a vist to Germany - Avoid the Autobahn on a Friday pm .

Does this then mean that you only have 75 minutes to put in the litre of oil?

or is that another wriggle?

I’ve asked BMW customer service to confirm.

They were a great help - l jest !

They told me that they are not technically trained and to go and ask the dealer!

I had forgotten to look previously - but the level icon on my iDrive screen has no graduations whatsoever- it seems that it shows full to “ you need a a litre right now “at blink of an eye.

Rubbish in my opinion - I would rather not be running around with my oil level a litre under its max - I’m more than capable of adding 1/4 litre it the system indicated it.

Use the indicator stalk Ronk, not the idrive, if I remember correctly the stalk has the oil in increments.

Ok - I’ll do that
I will have to look at the book - but if can keep it up to max it will keep me happy and worth the effort!

Didn't any of you do maths at school? No, it means you've got 48 minutes to put in the litre :poke:

It's not the best system regardless, I'm with Ronk and don't like driving around under the max. If the level on any car ever drops from the max then you top it up. Simples

With a manual dipstick, as much as it takes to reach the max, no maths required! How long is a piece of string?
