Cricket sound

Post by flybobbie » Fri May 25, 2018 8:29 am

Sometimes when i first start up there is a sound like a cricket or hamster on a tread mill coming from the dash or engine area.
Almost like a dry bearing.
New alternator belt has made no difference.
Could it just be the fan motor?
I'm sure i switched that off and noise still there.

Does it change with engine speed?
Could be a leaf caught in the interior blower? Maybe try changing fan speed?
