What’s it doing, any warning lights on the dashboard? Are you trying from the fob or by the interior button?

If, OP, you haven't already solved the problem, one solution may be to:
1 open the boot and
2 push back anything that's in it, so that it's not in contact with
3 the dreaded 'boot cover'.
4 Then, try to lift and push the cover back down, so it's shut.
Basically, all you're trying to do is to bring the boot cover back into its fully down position, with no interference or pressure from luggage/objects in the boot.

I presume it must be working again now, but if not I'm also in (North) Bristol and can have a look for you. Send me a PM (Private message) and I'll return my contact details.

On another note I’m not that tall the only thing which bugs me with my car is how on earth do you alter the drivers mirror... no buttons on it and it’s fixed! Am I being blonde!!!!
I did however fit a wind deflector myself so loving the result and weather.
Thanks

My e89 rear view mirror is adjustable? It’s supposed to be anti dazzle I think and reacts to light shining on it.

Yours sounds like the auto-dimming one that darkens when it senses more light from the rear than from the front.Smartbear wrote: ↑Thu Jun 07, 2018 8:26 pmHi, glad your roof is ok nowHermannZ4 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 07, 2018 8:10 pm On another note I’m not that tall the only thing which bugs me with my car is how on earth do you alter the drivers mirror... no buttons on it and it’s fixed! Mine is the peasants version...old skool, manual! You turn the bit where the red light flashes left or right, and that moves the mirror up or down to use the anti-dazzle bit (I don't know how it works and can't tell the difference).
So if the op is talking about anti-dazzle, then its either automatic, or he needs to twist the flashing red led cover.
If he means adjust the actual direction of the mirror, then that should move like any other rear view mirror...just grab and man-handle it to where you want it (don't be too rough).

If it auto dims, dont twist the plastic led cover...it might break.
But you should be able to adjust the whole mirror to a position that lets you see behind you.
