Roof Issue - works just about (update) Lets just say upset is an understatement
Time to start phoning breakers' yards? The pump that's burnt must be common to all Z4s or certainly to a number of years.

Interesting they mention water in the boot.
Perhaps finally found a use for those electronic project kits, the water activated alarm.

Or just make up your own circuit.
Just connect three sets of insulated wires to the three deepest points in the boot.

So i thought id update you on my z4 roof journey. Its been almost two weeks without my e89 . My indys put in a new roofs hydraulics motor, all the mirco switches and sensors are working and the connected pc is detecting everything to be okay. Whats happening now is although the onboard computer seems to recognise the positioning and everything of the roof it still refuses to work. If everthing seems to be working manually, its the control module which is acting all wierd? I genuinely dont know anyone has any pointers ?
