Hi all
Am looking for some help please.
I bought an e89 s30i middle of last year and absolutely love it. I am however having a couple of issues.
The first is the rear windows. They won't go up with the one click function. The fronts work fine. But the both rears you have to physically hold the button until they are all the way up. It's very annoying. I've tried reinitiating them but that didn't work. I want to get a smart top or equivalent and won't be able to use the roof up function when I lock it as it won't put the windows up. Any help would be appreciated.
Second thing is the roof protection shelf in the boot. Both clips snapped and now it's not attached at all. Can you buy new brackets? I've searched online buy can't find anything. Bar drilling the old out and installing new bolts myself I'm not sure what else to do?
So any help would be greatly received. Apart from these things I love the car. Always puts a smile on my face

Rear window and roof protector issues
I cant help with the windows (I'll check to see how mine behaves).
the boot cover hinges can only be purchased with a whole new book cover, which is quite expensive.
Fortunately there is quite an easy fix...
You need
4.5mm drill bit
Countersink drill bit
Countersunk M4 Allen bolts (25mm long)
M4 nut
(you could use dome bolts if you don't want to countersink)
1. Take the hinge apart
2. Drill from the inside right through where the original round clips were
3. Countersink the top part of the hinge.
4. Bolt back together
It's much stronger than the standard brackets, and if you use black bolts it looks factory.
Pictures from someone else that did it (with silver bolts).
