Handbrake adjustment

Post by Weelawser » Sat Sep 18, 2021 6:57 pm

Rear shoes adjusted as per the many posts, only problem is that the handbrake still doesn't tighten up. Having looked at the auto adjuster does this look correct ?
I thought the little hook should effectively disappear within the spring....never checked the cables, the car has been sitting with the handbrake off for nearly a year 🙄
Any help much appreciated.

You’ve posted in the e89 section, you’ll get more response if you post again in the e85 one

Handbrake adjustment

One of the best features of the E89, the electronic park brake.
No more crawling under cars to reach an adjuster hidden behind a prop shaft or exhaust.
No silly designs like on the RX7, always leaking fluid.
No more mot failures, because it needs adjusting.
