Car on jack orange warning on ignition??

Often particularly if I’ve not driven my 2011 2.31 for a few days when I put key in the yellow “ car on jack” symbol shows. I’ve run through the service menu and despite the fact I’ve Cleared it back it comes,
Anyone had this?

My old 2.3i used to do this too. I always assumed it was a low battery... it seemed to go away if it was driven more often.

Some service item is due...MOT..Inspection..Brake Pads...Brake Fluid etc

It was battery for me. I got it a few times last year...each after car hadn’t been used for a while and hadnt been left on trickle charger. Hasn’t appeared at all since battery was replaced a few months ago. “Service due”indicator is completely different symbol.

It’s on trickle charger now so I’ll check it tonight.

The car on jack indicates a service requirement as per rmanual see page..it MAY be caused (as so many things by a low / ageing battery).

It requires a service, nothing to do with the battery whatsoever.

E89’s are proving to be sensitive to ailing batteries, they have caused issues like this before - they can also knock the electronic handbrake sideways and needing a software update to function again.
The hardtop roof can also have issues with a below par battery.

As previously mentioned, icons can be falsely triggered by an aging battery so you can’t always take the warnings at face value as many on the forum have found out
