Unfortunately the fella has not got a drive - the 240v cable would have to go over a public footpath.

Might have an issue with the solar then, as said it only maintains, doesn't really charge.
So you'd have to ensure the battery is fully topped up first. Before putting it on a solar maintainer.

Yes - I did the volts/watts conversion and it’s only circa 0.2 amps - and only during daylight of course! (About 12hours ?)
It should replace the normal loss tho,

Either way - a new battery @ £300 V a new DPF @ £1300 - I know which way I’d go and it wouldn’t be starting the car for 15mins a week,
