2009 BMW 730d SE £7,750

Post by djstan » Mon Nov 11, 2019 12:41 pm

Hi all, I’ve been given the unenviable task of selling my father-in-law’s 7-series after he passed away earlier in the year.

2009 BMW 730d SE, Imperial Blue Metallic with Beige Dakota Leather Interior, 76,000 miles, full BMWSH

It’s a really lovely car to drive, and much as I would like to keep it for myself, it needs to go to a new home.

The good bits:

I’ve recently given the leather a good clean with Meguiars Leather Cleaner and Conditioner. It was MOT’d in September without any issue (or advisories), and had a full oil service, microfilter and brake fluid service earlier in October at Westerly BMW in Bridgwater.

The tyres are star-marked Dunlop SP Sport Maxx Runflats with the following tread depths:

1. Nearside Front Inner 4.7 Middle 5.0 Outer 4.9
2. Offside Front 4.8 5.3 5.2
3. Nearside Rear 4.9 4.9 4.9
4. Offside Rear 6.5 6.5 6.5

It has an impressive list of equipment for a 2009 car, namely:

- Keyless ignition, with 2 fobs
- Heated, electrically adjustable seats with memory function.
- Front and rear parking sensors
- Reverse camera
- Side cameras
- Satellite Navigation
- Integral Hard Drive storage for music
- Folding wing mirrors
- Electric boot closure
- 4-zone climate control
- Auto gearbox
- Bluetooth
- Auto dip rear view mirror
- Auto lights
- Auto wipers
- Cruise control
- Auto handbrake
- Run-flat tyres
- Tyre-pressure monitoring system
- Auto High Beam
- Ambient lighting
- Rear privacy glass
- Electric boot opening and closure
- Daytime Running lights
- Xenon headlights

The bad bits:

- The alloys are starting to corrode around the bolt holes and hub holes, and would benefit from a refurb
- There are two small scrapes on the front lower bumper that have been repaired but not to the same finish as the rest of the car; this may upset a true enthusiast!

The car is priced at £8,750 to take the bad bits into account. As already said, it’s a really lovely car to drive both around town and on the motorway. We’d love the car to go to a new home where it will be as enjoyed and cherished as it was.
