320 Touring

Post by nfarmer » Fri May 11, 2018 5:48 pm

My daughter is returning from 7 years living and working in China with her family and is looking for a BMW 320 Touring, ideally manual and petrol. A full service history is wanted but not necessarily BMW. Mileage between 50 and 75k would be ideal!

Are there any out there cash waiting.

Just a thought OP, but it may help to specify which model (E46, E91 or F31) and/or give an indication of their budget.
Coupes because stunning!

I’ve just sold one with 100k on the clock to a website that buys poorly cars!
An e91 2006.
As a word of advice before buying, do some googling on the e90/91 bmw 320 engine. Timing chain issues galore.
At the mileage you are looking at, it may have an issue waiting to happen.
Worth a read on line anyway.

Yeah, the guide rails are plastic and snap. Relatively simple replacement with the upgraded part (apparently) on the petrol, preventatively or if you catch it before it goes. Which my Indy days you should hear before it does... On the diesel it’s a engine out job though as the chain is at the back of the engine. We have a 318i, has the same potential issue.
Current... Silver Grey ///M Roadster, non-flimper spec, Imola Red nappa, permanent ear-to-ear grin 8)

Previous... 3.0Si Sport Roadster, Black Sapphire, Dream Red leather with lots of toys and lots of mods...
