Hi everyone,

I was going to keep my Z4 for a little longer yet and then look to change it next year.
However with our Z4///M having gone to a new home and a new car been found much quicker than anticipated I am going to see if anyone would like my Z4 as I’d rather it go to a member who will look after it.

It’s a manual 2006 2.5si 218bhp on a 56 plate. It’s silver grey with black M Sport leather and piano black dash and centre console.

Mileage 62,150 (this will go up a little as I am still using it)

• It has black heated leather M sport seats
• MFSW
• Climate Control
• Twin Cupholders
• Park Distance Control
• Convenience Pack
• Auto lights (xenons)
• Auto wipers
• Electric windows
• Electric and heated wing mirrors
• On board computer
• Sport Button
• Single CD player
• Upgraded 10 speaker Sound System
• Wind deflector (gimp mask style)
• BMW Z4 car cover & half roof cover (Buzztop)
• Full Alarm
• Tool kit is present and correct
• First aid kit is unused.
• There are two wallets and two keys.
• Private plate is not included (original registration RV56 TZC)

I am the 4th owner.

I purchased the car from a couple in Farnborough who used it on weekends as one worked in London and the other had a company car. They weren’t using it enough so sold it to me in August 2013.

Service History

Brake Fluid

02/08/2011 – Sytner Sunningdale
17/07/2014 – Lee Shannon BMW Specialist

Four wheel alignment was carried out 17/07/2015

The MOT was completed in 31/07/2015 with two advisories being the brake pads were low and the wishbone bushes were worn . I already knew about the brake pads as the light had come on. These were all replaced at my local BMW specialist in Bentley on the 8th of September 2015.

Modifications

The car had two new rear springs in 2013 as both of the originals had broken
The whip aerial has been replaced with a stubby. Original is in the boot
The MV2’s sit on 10mm (front) and 20mm (rear) spacers. These are easily removed and I have the original wheel bolts and locking wheel nuts should you prefer the OEM look.
I’ve changed the number plate bulbs to non fault LED bulbs.
I've changed the footwell lights to LED bulbs

Condition and Paint.

The car has some surface stone chips and a little rash on the front and a couple of scratches which have been touched in. Nothing is unrelated to a car of this age and hardly noticeable when clean and polished.

The body panels are straight having had any car park dinks removed earlier this year. The wheels were also refurbed at Lepsons at considerable cost. I also have 3 new centre badges for the new owner along with a boot lid BMW badge.

The car also had a winter protection and seal by our local detailer in September last year.
It has been cleaned regularly and the hood sealed with the AG convertible kit. The body work has been regularly waxed and polished to keep it protected and it’s garaged when not in use.

I’ve checked the roof drains along with the rear roof compartment to ensure it’s free of debris. The roof acts as it should. However, the window has lost its memory function on the passenger side. This can be reinstated with a window reset however.

Seats are all original with minimal wear to the seats or bolsters.

This is an honest, inoffensive, tidy example of the Z4. I’ve enjoyed it immensely and it’s both practical and surprisingly frugal given the performance on offer. As I say, I’m purely selling for the fact we’ve found a new car that’s too good to miss out on and that has 4 seats so it’s time to move on.

Located in Farnham Surrey.

Please contact me with any further information you may require or questions you have or if I've missed anything blindingly obvious.
Some photos below but there's plenty on here from previous outings or cleaning sessions.

Thanks

Dan.

Blimey, just one comment. Was it something I said lol.

I will hibernate her over the winter if it doesn't go now but I'd have preferred not to have three cars at home.

No, just a good advert with lots of pics!
If you'd put up a rubbish advert, everyone would have commented on it and taken the p***.
Afterall, even bad publicity is publicity and it keeps it fresh on the 'new posts' board !. You can't win !

Seriously though. Good luck in finding a buyer

Perhaps a price review would be appropriate? Or is it really that cut and shut in terms of the end of season?

As Number5 said, the advert has everything you would need to see so there is no need to make suggestions, and you are not trying to make a profit after buying it 3 months ago for a lower price etc.

Good luck with it

Is it just the timing then?

As I said I'm open to offers. The S5 is now home so I'd really like this gone.

Anyone....

That is a really tidy example and would make a perfect first Z4 for someone. Good spec for a 2.5si too - many don't have the 10 speaker system or MFSW. GLWTS! :)

Hey guys,

Been a while since I've checked back on the advert.
I've had one interested person who can't look to do anything until later in the year.

I honestly thought this would go without too much issue.

Nobody want it to enjoy the last bit of fine weather?

I've just seen one listed with 97k for not much less than mine so surely this is a good bet!

I've updated the advert to include the xenon lights.

I don't think its the price, the car or the advert , all are good id say
More the timing . still chance it will go before the curtains close on convertibles for the year
Where have you got it listed other than here ?

I find AT best for buying but Ebay classified advert best for selling :? £14.99 for 30 days , you get to gauge page views & watchers + easy to alter advert & take offers
You will get messers though  just take those as part of the game

beautiful car. my mate sold his in august very similar. he sold it super quick through gumtree. he priced it for a quick sale tho. he also sold his wifes mr2 in same month through gumtree also. worth a try? its free :)

Thanks Theivz, I think that will be my next route. I just wanted to try here first so I know she would likely go to an enthusiasts home.

The starter motor has started playing up so I will get that replaced before listing anywhere else.
We tested the two new cars at the weekend and neither fit in the garage so it's not the end of the world that the Z4 is in there hibernating at the moment :D

I know it's not spring time yet but thought I'd give this a little bump just in case anyone's missed it and is on the look out.
