2009 Z4 S-Drive35i

Post by LeePreston » Sat Sep 04, 2021 11:40 pm

For sale is my cherished BMW Z4 S-Drive35i.

The car is finished in Deep Ocean Blue metallic, with the optional white leather interior package. The car boasts a really high specification and looks stunning. The interior is not the normal aluminium trim, but is an ash wood style trim that really complements the heated electric sports seats.

This is the 306bhp 3 litre 6-cylinder twin turbo monster, not to be confused with lesser models. Apparently, she is capable of 0-60 in just over 5 seconds, and will continue to a limited top speed of 155mph where permitted.

Aside from the standard specs, the car benefits from the following features

* BMW I-Drive satellite navigation with colour screen

* Heated electric memory sports seats in white leather

* Front & rear parking sensors

* Cruise Control

* Bluetooth phone connection

* Automatic lights

* Automatic windscreen wipers

* Xenon headlamps

* Automatic handbrake

* 7 Speed DCT auto transmission

* Flappy paddle gearshift

* Flat tyre monitoring system

* Electric heated folding mirrors

* BMW wind deflector

* Two BMW keys with remote roof lowering operation

I have owned the car for 3 years and have undertaken a lot of work in this time. Work that has been carried out includes

* Refurbished turbos

* Replaced steering rack

* Replaced power steering motor

* Replaced all brake discs and pads

* Replaced all shock absorbers with Bilstein shocks

* Replaced rear springs

* Replaced windscreen

The car has a BMW history stamped to 86000, and I have also carried out oil and filter changes in the last 6 months. I believe the car was originally a BMW Group car, and had one further owner before I bought it in 2017. In addition, I have just has the car detailed with a Stage 1 paint treatment done..... she looks amazing.

There are some inevitable negatives with the car. The mileage is currently 101800, and this may increase slightly. With any car of this mileage, there are the obligatory scratches and marks on her. Most have been removed by the detailing, but there are some stone chips on the bonnet. Also, thanks to some scumbag, there is a scuff on the front bumper, but this is something that a smart repair wouldn't fix. The alloy wheels are recent additions, as I replaced the 16" winter wheels I have. The 17" wheels she is sitting on look pretty good, but could benefit from a refurb. Tyres all have plenty of tread left on them.

The car has just been through an MOT, and this runs out in July 2022.

The car is available for viewing near Camberley, and am happy to allow test drives if you provide proof of insurance.

So that's my Z4. In no hurry to sell her, I am only selling as I am just not getting the opportunities to use her. I'm limited to the number of photos that I can add, but have about 50 high resolution photos of the Z4 that I am happy to send if requested.

Asking price wise, I'm looking for around £11,000. Looking at other cars for sale I think that's around the ballpark, but am more than happy to consider sensible offers.

I understand forum rules require you to include a price - your car looks stunning in that colour combo though. :thumbsup:

Although the wheels need a refurb and the tyres seem to be a bit cheap and cheerful. :(

As Mr. Tidy says looks stunning.(But I would say that with same colour car thinks its deep sea blue not deep ocean blue)
DCT box is 7 speed not 8
Some service history and number of owners may help particularly for potential buyers on here

Thanks for the comments..... it was late last night and I completely missed the price! You're right about the tyres, I bought these wheels to replace the wheels with winter tyres that I had.... and haven't needed to change the tyres. I guess I might have changed them if I was keeping it, but I have to draw the line somewhere.

Twin turbo? You sure about that? A small detail, but the 35i is just a single turbo as far as I'm aware.

Thanks for enlightening me :)
I wasn't trying to be facetious - was just my ignorance really, as I just thought all 35i specs were single turbo.
