Prices rocketing and people seeing an opportunity to move a car on at a premium and I don't blame them one bit - hope there's a few around next year when I want to buy
My advice would be dont wait.
We were not looking at upgrading our 23i last year but the right spec came along and we jumped at the chance.
I would have bought Andys if I had been able to - got a lot going on right now, spending a fortune on the house so cant justify it this year :(

I would guess that prices on E89's will go down (apart from perhaps very low mileage examples) over the next year or two as more G29's become available second hand, before rising again due to a general lack of roadsters on the market. But, I'm usually wrong about these things

Makes sense to me apart from not seeing many G29 on the road, I think I have seen 2 or 3 max where as I always saw loads of e89's about.

Think prices will drop for certain but hope it snot too far :D

I've toyed with moving my 35is along now at the top of the market. 2013 post LCI fully loaded, Melbourne red, Canberra beige at 66000 miles and a beaut. I just think I'd miss it if I did.
Gone :( : 2013 35is, Melbourne Red, DCT, Nav, Comfort pack

Not sure prices will drop due to more G29s becoming available. Rag tops are like Marmite, you either like them or you don't. Prices doesn't matter, not for me at least. Nice cars no doubt but wouldn't swap my 7 year old 35is for a 1 year old G29.

I have had both ragtop and metal roof vents, they both have their advantages and disadvantages.

For me the e89 externally looks better than the G29 while the G29 is probably better internally but overall the e89 wins for me overall, doesn't mean I won't buy a G29 at some point in the future
