Welcome to the forum Chris.

If you have a preference it might be worth saying whether you are looking for a Sport or an SE, but good luck with your search anyway.

Just be aware they can be addictive.

Thanks,

I don't really have a preference just looking for a half decent car that I can add miles to and not feel too guilty about the future value.

I went to check one out a few days ago but decided not to go with it. Main problem being the gear changes felt as sloppy as an old transit.
Seller said that was normal for an old manual BMW... I have had a manual E36 E46 and E92 and that was never the case

When I was looking I bought a Sport both times, mainly because the M-Sport seats are just so much better than the Sport seats in the SE.

But with the benefit of hindsight if I was looking for another 3.0Si I'd try to find an SE with the M-Sport seats.

You are right about the "baggy" gearchange though - I'm on my 7th and 8th manual BMW and only ever had one with that problem, a 2002 325ti Compact. But it improved a bit after I got a new gearbox selector bush fitted.

Although it was a 5 speed and all the rest have been 6 speeds and none of them was sloppy - but a couple have been a bit obstructive!

Someone looked at this car this morning and left a deposit. I wonder if it will appear on the forum?

Hi
I've got a 2006 Si that doesn't get used, it's been sat in the garage since its last mot in August.
Black with black interior, piano dash,
Quad eisman exhaust and rear M bumper
New springs and shocks about 2k ago (bilstein)
108style wheels with uniroyals about 2k ago
New waterpump, expansion tank and stat
Loads of new parts over the last 2 years
It's got service history and runs a treat.
It's got 121k on the clock but definitely doesn't feel it
I've got a new truck for work and just don't get the chance to use it
Let me know if it interests you,
Cheers
Paul
