FS: Z4MC Imola Red 45000 miles £21.5k
***UPDATE*** - after declining an offer last week, my wife was much happier that the car was staying, so it is no longer for sale. Now I've got 4 of the buggers to clean
No idea how to remove the advert though
***************
The time has come for the wife to part company with her Z4MC. She (we) bought the car from a forum member in Dec 2015 and it has given reliable service to us since then. In our ownership it has had an annual service as I believe in looking after cars properly once they get a few years under their belt.
Imola Red with black interior.
We're moving house which means she'll have a 400 mile round trip each week until her contract finishes next April and it is a waste of a low milage Z4 pounding winter motorways. Whilst she'd rather SORN it and stick it in the garage until next summer, I'd rather have space for a motorcycle and my ride on lawnmower.
The car is currently in Shrewsbury.
The car is completely standard and in our ownership has only been handwashed and hand polished. The wheels are wearing good Pilot Sport 4 fitted at 38941 miles in June 2018 which have plenty of life left in them, but all 4 wheels would benefit from a refurb due to some kerbing marks. The paint has a few stone chips, and a couple of light scratches where we think the cat up the road tried to jump on the bonnet to get warm, but nothing that has gone through the basecoat so no rust anywhere.
Reversing sensors, Satnav and 6CD autochanger (which had the motor replaced about 3 years ago when it stuck), heated electric memory seats with leather interior in good condition. I'm not sure what are options and what are standard, but it doesn't have cruise control, and the mirrors fold in manually.
Oil service and MOT done last month.
Forum member Rockett viewed the car a week or 2 ago, however a higher mileage bargain in the same spec popped up so he opted for that one instead.
Price very close to £21,500
I've intermittent access to the internet at the moment as there is no line into the new property (thanks TalkTalk!) so if interested call 07929 121 129. The car is SORNd but I can tax it for a test drive for a serious party.
Service history is as follows...
13/06/06 727 miles - Run In service
25/07/08 4257 miles - Oil Service
21/09/10 14943 miles - Ins 1
17/09/12 20446 miles - Oil service
30/11/13 27776 miles - Oil Service
28/08/15 32568 miles - Ins2
12/04/17 37137 miles - Oil Service
02/05/18 38893 miles - Oil Service
16/05/19 41905 miles - Ins 1
03/06/20 44648 miles - Oil Service (+ Brake Fluid)
Current mileage 44,900

Lovely car, but I'd definitely recommend taking it to a proper detailer to give it a good clean and prep. Your pictures, whilst honest, are not doing you any favours. GLWTS

You don’t need to take it to a proper detailer OP.
Just give it a thorough valet, inside and out.
Make sure the carpets are hoovered and your tyres have some tyre dressing on them.
May be worth refurbing those alloys and wheel badges however.
Also more pictures would be beneficial. For guidance on picture angles use the template that Hexagon uses.

Car is low mileage, in a desirable colour (although not my cup of tea) and priced well so should sell relatively easily.

I have to agree with the above.
A good clean and decent pictures would definitely help your sale.

Engine bay looks excellent and clean. Wheels and hubs are in dire need of attention, then some updated pictures. Seats and carpets need sorting for sale purposes. IMHO this sale will struggle at £20k+ in it's current state.

Any info on other service items? Discs and pads etc Anything additional to the standard service requirement? Be also good for the potential buyers to know where services were done? BMW specialist etc inspection 1 and 2 are big services and garage names and type can give confidence
Its a specialist car and owned mainly by enthusiasts and there is an expectation to its presentation and the images really aren't putting it in a great light give it a bit of love and upload some better images and I cant see it hanging around.
Gorgeous looking car and Imola is a fabulous colour that is really sort after can see this hanging around too long with a couple of the items sorted.

Thanks for the feedback - the pics were done on the only dry day the other week so the car needed a wash and the drive is a bit tight and narrow to get good pics. Since moving it to Shrewsbury I can't find the camera lead/card reader for my laptop (so got a new one from poundland). It has had a wash and vac since then though.
Next week I'll pull it out and take some better pics, the maser needs a wash and a run since I locked it up the other week too, so I can have a "car day" instead of decorating and working out the plumbing on the new house (including why the downstairs loo is fed from the pumped hot water for the upstairs shower!).

I would agree that posting some better pictures and some additional details on the service history will help the ad. Good to see the oil was changed regularly, should be a clean top end !
Great colour, good luck with the sale!
