2004 BMW Z4 3.0 litre manual roadster Grey £3200 *Price Reduced*
I bought the car March 2019 as I wanted something fun for the summer that was also suitable to drive from the midlands up to the north coast 500, it was fantastic for that trip, but now it's barely getting any use and I can't really warrant keeping it sadly.
Its done 104000 miles but you wouldn't know it. When I bought it, it had a subtle lower on it just via lowering springs, however it was too harsh for my taste so I bought brand new OEM Surplex M sport springs and fitted them, when everything was in bits and I had a good inspection of all the dampers and they're in very good condition, no leaks and plenty of damping resistance still in them.
The roof is in very good condition and works perfectly, however the roof motor has not been relocated. The car has rarely been driven in the rain and is parked in a garage most of the time so I doubt that roof motor is in a bad way and I'm confident that it could be relocated without needing a replacement motor.
There is plenty of paperwork and evidence of services, I changed the oil and all the filters when I bought the car, I have the receipts etc for this.
The only thing that didn't work when I bought the car was the air conditioning, I went to have it re-gassed to find the condenser was shot, so I bought and fitted a new one myself and had the system re-gassed and it is ice cold now. The previous owner had also bought black BMW badges which had been sun damaged badly, so I have re-badged the whole car with the proper blue BMW badges which in my opinion looks miles better. The only other thing I have done is the clutch delay valve removal mod which makes it much nicer to drive.
I had some money knocked off when I bought the car because the front tyres were pretty worn Dunlup runflats and it was tramlining badly. After some research on this forum I decided to ditch the run flats on the front and fitted Pirelli P Zeros which transformed the front end, these are basically still like new with loads of tread left. The rears are quite worn and are still the Dunlop run flats.
It's a high spec model and includes; Sat Nav with the premium sound system, electric adjustable / heated leather seats, Zenon headlights, Auto wipers and reversing sensors, it also has a bluetooth phone function but sadly I haven't been able to pair it with my galaxy s8, I think the s8 is too new, it does pair perfectly with my older HTC.
2 x keys.
MOT until March 2021
Located 2 miles south of Coventry.
£3200

This is still available,
I notice all the other threads get some attention and mine doesn't get any comments! Clearly I'm doing something wrong, I'm guessing I'm just asking to much money for a Z4 at this time of year?
Not in a huge rush to sell so will hang onto it until the spring.

Lovely looking car. Great spec too, with the cruise control and folding mirrors in addition to the other bits you've listed. Given the mileage and the time of year, you'll struggle to sell without dropping price further, but wait till spring and it should get snapped up

Yes it does look a lovely car. Guess no-one is looking for one right now, so haven't bothered to comment. Don't take it badly.
I would agree that, if there's no rush to move it, then wait for the spring.
However, by then you would maybe need to get a new MOT on it to make it more attractive?

I’ve not seen your car listed before, where I rarely glance at FS adds unless they’re of the M variety, though that’s just me.
To share some initial feedback, whilst looking in nice condition on here we tend to expect lots & lots of detail, including what may need attention. Everyone’s welcome, though you have simply joined to sell your car for free with, IMO limited information.
I suggest you take a look at long standing member listings for reference, as there you will find examples of the detail that many seek
- how many previous owners
- how long you have had the car
- all the additional work you’ve had done to the car
- why you are selling
- whether roof motor has been relocated, refurbished or has issues
- the make & tread depth on the tyres
- condition of your daisy cutter alloys & whether ever refurbed
- number of keys
- whether has heated seats
- any issues with lacquer
- VANOS
- any CAT registration, even if none
- itemised listing of service (where, when & what was done (main dealer / independent / self service)
- how many miles to next service
- itemised listing of past MOT’s
I used to own a 2005 3.0 SE which i bought on 40k & I sold in 2014. On about 2/5ths of your milage, mine desperately needed new billy shocks & a whole host of suspension refreshments & other bits to make it drive nice.
I suggest you consider yours is on over 100k, has std seats/alloys & advertised with only brief info - at this time of year, to sell I suggest u really need to go the extra mile to sell a vert....
Last of all, ask yourself this - with hundreds of Z’s for sale, why should somebody buy yours from what you’ve described...
Trust the above may provide some of the feedback you’re looking for... good luck

Thanks for the comments all, I'll take them onboard and re-write the add a bit, and of course I will get a new MOT on it in March if I still have it.

Keen to come and see this once lockdown is lifted.
Don't suppose you fancy a swap for a sensibly modified track/road supercharged Mini?
