A 2.5si would be a better all rounder than early 3.0se & a 80k car for £4k is quite frankly cheap as a preverbial chip .junglie wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 5:45 pm Hi,
I have had a couple of E85 3.0i which were great.
I know the E86 had over 2000 little improvements (according to BMW) but how does the 2.5si compare to the older M54 3.0?
There is 13 hp in it but not sure on torque. The real question is can anybody tell AMT dramatic difference in ‘shove’ or not? I imagine the newer engine shared the same traits as its big brother in terms of reliability, willingness to rev and sound?
If this car was on ebay at £4995 id be amazed if it wasn't bought within a few days & if i was the seller at £4k it would be a take or leave it to anyone showing interest .
I can't be bothered to chase it but bring it to Lancs & i'd happily give you the £4k & a lift to the train station
