OVERVIEW:
  • 2007 3.0i Sport Coupe
    Factory Alpine White.
    71k miles
    Velocity VMR V710 19” alloys

It’s a sad sad day but I’ve come to the conclusion that I can no longer afford the luxury of a car I so rarely drive. Having owned the car since June 2014 I’ve only covered just over 13.5k miles in total. Over the past 3 years, since moving to London, the car has covered just under 4k miles.
On first moving to London it was kept in an underground garage and now living with my girlfriend more centrally and not needing a car at all, it’s now kept at my parents’ house in Surrey.

It’s my understanding that this is an extremely rare colourway for the E86(?). I’m sure someone more knowledgeable will set me straight, but I believe there were only 18 in this colour.

I bought the car from SEAT Bristol in 2014 where it had been Part-Exchanged. I was the very first person to see it and was there so promptly it was still being given its initial once-over from the mechanics. As soon as I saw it I knew it was the one, so much so that I even had to write-off a £500 deposit I’d put down on a silver automatic 24hrs previously.

Almost immediately following purchase I made a handful of key modifications to give the car a more purposeful M-inspired look with a change of wheels and a lower stance.

Overall it still drives fantastically and with the lower suspension feels even sharper than it did with the original setup. Barely used of late I just can’t justify the upkeep of a car I don’t even have parked where I live!

Paperwork and receipts for all of the above is available, as well as the original Owners Manuals and Service History book in the original wallet. I don’t have invoices for the Unipart or Stratstone services.

This is a comprehensive list of everything I have in my folder of invoices. If it’s not listed it either hasn’t been done or hasn’t been an issue or an advisory. The most recent service was this week so rest assured there are no ongoing issues.

WHEELS & TYRES:
  • 19” Velocity VMR V710 in Gunmetal imported from the US
    19x8.5 ET45 Front
    19x9.5 ET45 Rear
    Original Boxes
    Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetrico 225/35/19
    Pirelli P-Zero 91Y XL 255/30/19
The wheel and tyre package was £1750 when new

Also - Original Wheels & Tyres (picture is flattering, i would say the paint would benefit from refurbishment)
Swapped out after 1 month of ownership
  • 18” 108 Style Split Rims
    Front Tyres 7mm tread
    Bridgestone Potenza 225/40/18
    Rear Tyres 5mm tread
    Sailun Atrezzo 255/35/18

CHASSIS:
  • H&R Sport Spring Set
Wiechers Racing Line Front Strut Brace
Rogue Engineering Rear Top Shock Mount
    Original suspension also included

BODYWORK:
Bodywork is straight with no major blemishes. There are the usual stone chips you’d expect on a 12 year old car, a good detailer would be able to remove them.

INTERIOR:
  • Factory M-Sport Multifunction Steering Wheel
    Brushed Light Aluminium Dash
    Individual Bi-Colour seats Imola Red/Black
    Heated Seats
    Electric Memory Seats
    Sat-Nav/TV (not converted to digital)
    Mobile Phone Prep with Bluetooth
    Auto-Dimming Rear View Mirror
    Park Distance Control (PDC)
    F48D “Stubby” Aerial

Interior is clean and tidy (valeted again this week). I’m a non-smoker, never eat in the car and rarely have ever even had a passenger. Both seats are fully functional, and there is slight wear to the drivers side bolster of the drivers seat. I’ve only not polished this as it’s never bothered me and I didn’t want to spend time tracking down matching leather polish.
I’m not a driver who keeps the world in his boot either so the only things ever stored in the car are the usual car paraphernalia.
I’m also not a coffee drinker, so both cup holders are fully functional and have barely been touched since I bought the car!

SUMMARY:
Since deciding to sell the car I’ve spent around £750 on snagging. This includes the refurbishment of two alloys by TWS (Chessington) as well as a Service this week (14 March) at BMS Surrey.

Lee at BMS confirmed that the car is a very good example, with no corrosion to the pipes on the underside of the vehicle that you may see on a car of this age. It’s in great condition and awaiting a new home.

I realise that I’m asking the very very top end for this car, but given the rarity of the colour and interior, the inclusion of 19” imported wheels and the original 18” split rims, Mileage and the fact that the car has been used so sparingly over the last few years, I don’t expect a car like this will come along again very soon. Having spoken to a few people in the trade about it, the advice was to keep it; I’m in absolutely no rush to sell it and am doing so with a heavy heart, but would love it to go to an enthusiast,so it won’t be advertised elsewhere until I’m confident that there isn’t any interest here.

*Price Dropped* (07Apr)
£11,500 ono

The car is located in Surrey between Kingston and Esher.

I am interested but think it's priced too high
Considering a phoenix yellow one sold in the 10s.
Bit it's your car and you can ask what you want.

He did start that thread about a coupe.

Lovely car OP.

Yea I was talking to 2 other people selling white coupes at the time (slightly higher miles though) which were sold for £6,750 and £7,250 which I was very tempted on. The cheaper 1 was the better spec but was like 5 hours away so didn’t get a chance to test drive (which I really regret), the more expensive 1 I test drove but it had a couple of issues like broken PDC and scraped bumper etc which put me off.
