Technically/pedantically, or whateverly...mr wilks wrote: ↑Sat Jan 19, 2019 2:40 pmDepends how pedantic you want to be over how the service regime should be adhered to , "technically" following oil - ins1-oil-ins2-oil yes 8yrs but reality is mileage covered often extends those dates considerably so no i wouldn't say it was due based on how the history & miles stand as of now .blobslosak wrote: ↑Sat Jan 19, 2019 2:21 pmYou've just said technically the insp2 should fall every 8 years if the miles didn't trip the need first. It's been 7.5 years...
I didn't say it was an issue, but "technically" it's due.
You indicated "but 7.5years since ins2 " as if that was a negative ?
Has its only covered 26k since previous ins2 & only 5k since ins1 no real urgency imo , but others (including yourself) may disagree
The only stipulation I've ever seen (online or in service schedules) is that an OIL SERVICE (and brake fluid) should be carried out at a max of 2 years - and that's only because both of those fluids degrade with time as well as use.
Can anyone show me where it says Inspections are time-based as well?
