Do you have a trade buyer then?
Btw what are you asking for it now, I couldn’t see a price or have I missed it?

Congrats on the M3 - can I ask what mileage it's on and what you paid for it? An awesome thing to do with the E46 M3 is drop the rear seats down and go for a drive. The noise is amazing!

2 owners (one of which was a BMW specialist tech in the Isle of Wight [who informed me that the person he sold the car to came back to him for servicing])
75,000 miles on the clock (wanted a sub 40k miler but couldn’t justify prices of over £20,000 for an old M3)
Full service history
Can’t disclose exactly what I paid for it but it was more than £10,000 but less than £15,000.

Sounds sweet. Is it a manual or smg? Seriously...try the seats down thing, you will be grinning from ear to ear. To make it even more intense, lift the carpet and acoustic mat out of the boot!

It’s a manual.

I might do, but I have plans for another Supersprint so not sure I will need to?

Would like it to sound like this:

Was thinking of the SS lightweight race as you save 14kg over the stock system but it’s too raspy imo.

I thought about this a lot, but the OEM item is full stainless and sounds pretty great as it is. I have the seats up when I want to just potter around and drop them down when blasting around fast B roads. Best of both worlds.

Always the best thing about the E46 sound for me was the resonating x-pipe. Shame the Z4M didn't get it.

The OEM exhaust is nice, just lacks a bit of bass in my opinion.

How long have you had yours?

Had mine 10 years, it's a silver grey facelift 04 plate manual with genuine 55k miles. In a bit of a dilemma what to do with it actually - it's a total pristine example and I have it fully prepped for sale at moment but I might just hang on to it for another year as don't really need the funds at present and I think the prices are still increasing a lot for the mint low milers, especially the ones that are fully standard (another reason I didn't want to mess with the exhaust). I only bring it out about 1 day a month now just to give the fluids a full warm up and keep all the seals lubed etc, but wow I still so love driving it.

The E46 M3 absolutely nailed it in matching the power to the chassis - I never felt like it needed 'a bit more power' like I have felt with every other car I have owned. Mine has been a superb ownership experience too. Dare I say nothing has ever gone wrong in the 10 years I've had it apart from a reverse parking sensor!

I would definitely keep it stock with that mileage and service history.

I’m looking to get enjoyment out of mine so I’m not fussed (just needed a solid base car as there are a lot of crap out there).

Eventually it will become a summer track toy I reckon, but I will try and keep it as standard as possible.

Only looking to change the exhaust, put a set of Pole Positions in the front, get a second set of track wheels, potentially go for the 4.10 diff, but that’s about it. (All removable mods bar the diff).

Prices are deffo on the up and yours should easily see £18,000 upwards assuming no rust and the bearings and subframe have been done.

I can’t disclose that until the car is sold.

No but it had a bearing recall done and is already booked into the garage for an inspection.

However I intend to get the bearings done again as you never know with these things.
