Beautiful 3.0si Roadster with mods!.... MODS PLEASE DELETE

Post by silverdevill » Thu May 17, 2018 7:51 pm

Here we have my virtually flawless 3.0 si sport in stunning silver grey with black leather interior is now for sale . Reason, i need something bigger for family duties!

The car is 2006 (56) auto, MFSW, paddle shift, sat nav, cd changer, rear PDC, wind deflector, rain sensing auto wipers, auto headlights, xenon headlights, auto dimming rear mirror, heated M Sports seats,M Sports steering wheel, sport button, piano black interior trim.

With a full BMW service history as follows;

PDI 4/10/06 Almondbury
Oil service 12628 22/05/08 Hexagon
Oil service 16754 12/08/09 Hexagon
Insp 1 27209 09/03/11 Barons

Oil service 37193 North Oxford BMW

In addition there are brake fluid changes noted in the service schedule at
16754
27209
32002
34216

There is approximately 4500 miles to next service
Car will come with 12 months MOT
Mileage on the car is currently 47350 but will rise slightly as its in daily use.

Prior to my ownership, it was owned by a gentlemen who enjoyed wintering overseas, plus a very fastidious forum member and also by myself and looking at the car both on the top, and underneath, its in truly fantastic condition and shows how each of its owners have cherished it, i know i have.

The bodywork looks fantastic, not perfect (its 12 years old!) but as good as i've ever seen a 12 year old used car look, my postman still cant believe it!

The hood operates faultlessly, and is in fantastic condition, no mould, tears or nasty marks anywhere.

The leather seats heated and electric work fine, sat nav , cd, cd changer etc all fine. There is no damage to the plastics, seals, trims or anything else. It looks like a 2 year old car.

The previous owner fitted an aux lead to plug in the iPhone but i've never actually used it as i have a very old ipod and dont have the right cable/connector, but i was told by the previous owner it works great . The connector for the aux plug is in the panel where bmw fitted them.

Also replaced are the lower front wishbones and the alignment checked accordingly. I felt the bushes were soft, so replaced the wishbones , though they weren't obviously in bad condition.

Under my ownership i've treated her to some modifications which i feel enhance an already great car into a truly special one!.
Mods as follows:

Bilstein B8 sprint dampers
H&R 35mm lowering springs
Rogue engineering RTAB's
Rogue engineering poly rear top mounts
brand new BMW front top mounts
M3 csl geometry
H&R 20mm front spacers
H&R 20mm rear spacers
Roof motor re-located into boot
Carbon wrapped front grilles
Stubby aerial
Roof coded to key fob to lower AND raise

I MUST STRESS ALL OF THE ABOVE MODS WERE CARRIED OUT LESS THAN 2.5K MILES AGO AND AMOUNT TO A FAIR CHUNK OF MONEY!

This car is always treated like its my own child and is pampered/washed every week without fail, waxed with meguiars tech wax twice a year.
I've priced the car at £8500. It isn't the cheapest car, but absolutely reflects the condition , history and mileage.

Please feel free to call with any questions which will be honestly answered. This is a fantastic car with nothing to hide and is the perfect summer toy!
Car is located in Perton, near Wolverhampton.

lovely looking car Ryan, that I would be happy to own.
but I think you may struggle at the price tho.
your price is up there with coupe money, and they always seem to fetch more than the equivalent roadster.
that said, its worth what someone is prepared to pay, and it is a lovely example with some nice extras.
good luck tho.
just my honest opinion, but then what do I know.

There's not a lot to say ! It looks in beautiful condition and Silver/grey with Black interior is a great combination that few can dislike. Informative advert with all of the required information, so you just need someone looking who is prepared to pay a little more than necessary for a 3.0si, but appreciates a quality, low mileage example.

I'm not sure if the asking price is a tad optimistic, but if you start there and slowly drop it, the phone is bound to start ringing at the right point.

Good luck.

What do we think then guys price wise?. if it's sub 8k then I'd rather keep it I think.

That's your choice !

Firstly, you have to get people to come and look at it. If your advertising over the £8.5k on the basis that you expect to be knocked down to £8k, you're better off advertising at £7999 and then sticking firm once they've come and seen the car and fallen in love with it.

That way, you come up in their sub £8k searches and the phone starts ringing.

I did that with my Si recently. Nothing at £6250 for 3 weeks, but three calls in a day at £5999.

JMO !

The 3.0si are not fetching much at the moment. I was wanting to sell ours 3 months ago for around what i thought was a good price at 8250
but was told by a few trusted folk on different forums that i trust that it was over priced.
It is an 08 with 62k and has had extensive work done to keep it tip top. Front end respray, professional stage 3 polish and Nano Coating applied, seats professionally re coloured in the same colour, water pump changed and has had inspection 2 type service every year it is also in the rare Ruby Black with Champagne interior and piano black dash.
So i too have decided to keep it for at least the next 3 years

I'm not sure if it is the late arrival of decent weather this year, but the values do seem to have dropped a fair bit since last year.
For a couple of years it seemed that decent/average Roadsters had hit a level and bottomed out around the £4-5k. However now it seems you can pick up something rough around the £2k mark and that seems to be then bringing the reasonable cars down to £3-4k at the lower 100k miles end and having a knock on effect for the tidier examples too.

Two years ago I easily sold an 11 year old top spec, pre-facelift, 3.0se E85 for £6k. This year I sold a similar mileage, tip-top, 11 year old facelift 3.0 Si, and couldnt get £6k for it, so values are definitely dipping.

I can't see why you wouldn't see £8k for the car op , list it on ebay with similar pics & description as you have above , it may not go overnight but £15 gets you a 30 day fixed price classified advert , give yourself 4-6 weeks starting at £8250 , you only need one buyer & there will be one for yours i'm sure

Easily worth the ask, IMHO!

Any genuine buyer with half a brain should snap that up!

The above strategy (Ebay) is a good because it also gives you massive advertising exposure for little money. Even if it doesn't actually sell through Ebay itself.

I would have been interested in buying the old girl back if you still had the original suspension, due to my garage entrance being to steep to get a lowered car in.

This car took me ages to find, it wasn't the ideal colour, but the combination of condition and mileage seemed too good to ignore. But the lure of another TVR forced me to sell!
