MVT - Poole, Dorset

Post by viper1984 » Thu Mar 10, 2016 8:55 pm

I took my Z4 Coupe to MVT in Poole, Dorset for a MOT and to repair a fault with the Bluetooth phone system.

The guys there were good to deal with and they gave me a courtesy car for the couple of days they had my car for. Paul at MVT gave me regular calls to update me on the progress.

Once the work was all done I picked up the car and it was in the same condition I gave it to them. Paul certainly seemed to know his stuff and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Just had an Inspection 2 for £327. Paul and the guys know their stuff and were very helpful and informative.

Hi I just got a quote from them for £700 for an Inspection 2, seems quite a lot for an Indy doesn't it?

I used them to check over the car after I bought it and they seemed knowledgeable and nice guys.

Really late reply but for the sake of future searches I thought I'd let people know...

Yes I did go ahead with it, and they were excellent, definitely recommended. Polite, courteous and knowledgeable ;)

For the love of God £700 for an Insp 2. What the hell do they do for that money. Change the oil and filters and spark plugs yourself, check the car over thoroughly and get it MOT'd all for around £120 and surely thats all an Insp 2 entails. Or am I missing something like the £500 donation to the Indi.

I went to MVT again this evening and received great service once more.

The bulb warning light was illuminated on the dashboard. I saw it was one of the parking lights in the xenon headlights. Not something I wanted to do as its fiddly getting access through the wheel arch. I called them and they said I could head over to them and they would do it for me. They took a look, diagnosed that the bulb holder was in fact loose. They secured it for me, and even replaced a license plate bulb that had gone out that I didn't even know about.

The guys didnt even charge me for any of this, despite it being 15 mins or so out of their day. Not saying everyone will be getting free work from them, but it shows they take care to look after their customers.

Thanks again to MVT! :driving:
