Walkers AutoTech - Billingshurst

Been mean to do this for ages.

Had my ///M in for an Inspection 2 here a couple of months ago after recommendations from a few members on here. In the previous months had contacted Any via email and always had a speedy response.

Decided to have the Inspection 2 over the oil service as I might hit the mileage within 2 years.

Agreed a date with a loan car for the two day period (nice old E46 330i. Never driven a M54 powered car before, the engine was so smooth even with the mileage. Only the cable throttle let it down). They kept me updated and highlighted a couple of small issues such a s a slight weep on the Vanos (but nothing to worry about) and my front pads and discs didn't look pretty but well withing spec.

Only issue found was the cracked auxiliary belt so this was replaced and they also removed the CDV and bled the clutch through whilst replacing the brake fluid as also requested.

I asked for a copy of the shim report which was retrieved from the work bench, and although hand written on a sheet of paper it told me what I wanted to know and kept for my records.

On the way home I popped into look at a VX220 Turbo and got talking to the owner (Porsche Specialist Dealer) and mentioned where I had just been. They also sang Andy/Walkers praises which again was good to hear.

So that's it for another 2 years but nice to know I have a garage I can trust and where I will be returning from now on.

Andy is a top bloke and anyone wishing to use him should do so without any fear.

+1 I never take my Zed anywhere else. Andy and his team have recently moved from Loxwood to near Wisborough Green (hence the Billingshurst address). Their premises are now much larger, which is testament to the ever growing list of satisfied customers.

And another plus from me. Only had an oil service there but very impressed with their attitude. They are clearly real enthusiasts.

Above said, it was rather inconsiderate for them to move. Previously they were 0.8 miles from my front door and now proabably 3 miles away! :P

Found Walkers after ABS/traction Control failed on way to MOT at my Dealers
They removed unit, sent off for repair refitted all within week .Great service and nice folks ,then my Dealer did a free retest despite having work done elsewhere
All round a great ending to a potentially very costly failure
