BMW Specialist West Midlands Area

I have been using Autotech Performance in telford and have very pleased but its a bit of a trek one and a half hours each way for little minor issues. So I want to find a specialist closer to me ideally in Worcestershire but B'ham, Solihull, Stratford would be acceptable.

I believe there is someone around Earlswood but cant find a reference when searching.

Can anyone help please

Norman

There's Torque Speed in Blackpole Worceseter who i have used for my track car. The guy there Phil is very knowledgeable and builds/races E46 M3's. Their website is crap but give the guy a bell as he definitely knows his onions.

http://www.torquespeeduk.com/

You could also try iAuto in Solihull who i have heard good things about but have no experience of them personally.

Watching with interest though as im Worcester based so be interested to see what else pops up

Maybe a little out of your way but my Z4 and a Series 1 have been well looked after by Anthony (Gail in reception) at Autotech in Warwick
http://www.autotechwarwick.com for the last couple of years.
Very knowledgeable and friendly and highly recommended.

Well it was for the engine light on on my wifes car E46 with the M54 engine. Turned out to be the O2 sensor, bank 1 before cat as diagnosed by Torque Speed in Blackpole Worceseter (Phil Cutts) and they fitted a new sensor for £130 inc VAT, dealer quoted £220 plus diagnostics, so a good result.

Interesting place loads of E46 track cars and they dont do much in the way of routine stuff, labour £50 per hour + VAT which feels OK.

I'll see how I get on but he might well be a good local find (only 5-10 mins drive for me)

Spoke at some length to Noel (?) at NCB Autokraft and he seems to be a good but less local option for future consideration

Good to hear you were equally as impressed with torque speed as I was. Decent set of guys and like you say reasonable rates

Hi, Just been reading your comments. A while ago now I know. I also live in Worcester and have booked into Torque to get the hood motor fixed. Since then, I have found BMW tech who can do a great job quickly at a very good price, but an hour and a half drive away. Any advice welcome.

Cheers
Roch

i have spoken and not impressed, for a so called specialist who didnt even know z4's had electric steering and had 2 mechanics peering in to the bonnet totally incredulous.. moments after telling me they wanted to keep the car 4 days and weren't cowboys.
If you ever think I'm off my rocker.. Just put me back in it and walk away... It's the kindest thing

I'm getting my water pump and thermo change over done this Friday by Rich at The Works Mini & BMW Specialist, based in Shirley, Solihull.

https://www.facebook.com/theworkssvp/

He's happy for you to get your own parts and he just charges for the labour, which I think is £60p/h

He runs his own workshop, so no palming off work to some young apprentice.

My second option was going to be Noel at NCB but Rich is 15 min walk from my house.
