Took my car to Munich Legends on Sat for:

-Diff oil change
-Gearbox oil change
-Coolant change
-Give the whole car the once over.

Came back with a few small advisories main ones being AUX belt is cracking and needs changing and pitted rear disc’s but other than that all is good, he commented on how clean the car was and how well it drove for an 11 year old car and that he had seen worse condition cars with a third of the mileage. Anyways good to hear news like that. 

Very impressed with the service and it was a great price too.

Some lovely cars there to look at whilst you are waiting as well. A few M1’s in there too :)

If you don't mind me asking, what was the cost of the service? Looking into something similar on mine!

For those 3 bits it was just over £125inc vat i think, they provided all of the fluids as well.

I had other quotes of nearly £200 at other local Indys.

Glad you had a good time at ML, Ash.

Could you post your feedback into the existing thread:

Makes sense to keep all info in one place.

That seems ridiculously cheap, too cheap if anything?!

I have to say I agree with the above, having just called them and been quoted 2 hours labour at £79+VAT and I'm supplying the fluids (exactly the same work requested as you, check over and GB/Diff oil changes).

That was the price I paid over two years ago when they were still fairly cheap :)

That was for my 3.0i too not an M and none of the jobs are hard or take long.

I went back around 6 months later for a service in the Z4 and was disappointed with the service I received and never went back again :)

I keep thinking about ML. Then I see posts like the one above, and again I think no.

Will take mine back to Walkers Autotech I think for its oil/brake service in March.

Bugger. Booked in with them next Thursday!! MOT and gearbox/diff oil change so hopefully simple enough jobs. Will judge based on that.

Have the Diff and Gearbox oils not been changed on the last inspection 2 service?

Frustratingly not - the car was given an insp 2 a few k ago (just before I bought it) and having checked with the BMW main dealer that did it, they suggested that because it is not denoted on the BMW website, they do not have to do it. Believe me, it was argued until I was close to losing my cool with the girl, so decided to just get it done using my choice of oils (from advice on here of course) and done well by an indie.

Seems like ML are getting worse, I've had my car serviced there twice and not had any real problems.
I did ask them to investigate a rattle from the front which they put down to the air con compressor. I wasn't convinced and took the front under tray off to find a loose bracket rattling under the front ARB! A few friends with e46 m3's have had problems too, more to do with problem diagnosis than general servicing.
I also find their carpark really terrible considering how much they charge and the value of the cars they have (although this is just my personal opinion), not a good advert of their business.

Motor in boot. Bilstein B8 dampers. New radio, much better sounds
