Forza GB Chepstow

Post by Dav the wheel nut » Thu Apr 10, 2014 9:08 pm

Following the failure of the dreaded roof motor a couple of weeks ago, after some research, I decided to take the Zed to Forza GB
When I phoned to book it in I was told that they would like the car for two days to ensure the problem was the motor. I explained my logistical problem and was immediately offered the use of a courtesy car at no extra cost on the condition I refill it with fuel when I returned it.
I duly took the car to them on Wednesday morning and met the owner Stuart.
It was quite apparent on meeting him that he is extremely knowledgeable about BMWs and their issues.
I asked him if he could in addition to the motor check out a water leak in the car and fit a reversing sensor I had previously purchased if he had time.
Today I collected the Zed with the new motor fitted. Stuart showed me mine which was a lump of rust, which was found to be sat in a reservoir of water even though the drain holes were clear. (they are designed to fail)
The other jobs had been done and I got home a happy man.
I can highly recommend Forza to the forum from my own experiences.
They are hoping to eventually expand and open a workshop in the Bristol area

Took my Z there on Thursday/Yesterday for an inspection 2 and fault finding for an electrical problem I'm having. Service was efficient, and as you say, Stuart seems very knowledgeable when it comes to Beemers.
Electrical problem is probably the alternator and is booked in to change in a couple of weeks. So far, very happy with the service :D

Worth knowing about, good BMW indi garages seem a bit thin on the ground around here

Does anyone know if Forza have moved premises yet ?

I was in there around November and the receptionist, (Anne), told me they were looking to move to a smaller unit in Caldicot after Christmas (easier to heat). I've driven passed and seem a "To Let" sign up, but all of the website info still points to Chepstow ?

We have moved away from Chepstow to Caldicot which is a far better unit and has the same SQFT as the last one. It is also a 60% cheaper than the previous unit :D
And just to let everyone know we offer 15% discount on labour to Z4-forum members - always! :driving:

Forza was always reliable and fair price. Used them for E46 & E39 BMWs and he even did some work on my TVR Griffith.

That was over 2 years ago.
If you have a roof motor failure then put a new post up asking for help as there are members on here who will do the job at a really good price and also relocate it in the boot so you have no further problems
