Hi everyone. I hope all is well.
Well I decided to take my Z4 to Ross. He's 94 miles away but I thought worth it. This was based on reading lots of good reports on this forum and Ross setting up his own shop. So let’s give him a chance. Am I’m sooooooo glad I did.

Work to be carried out.
Inspection 2
Water pump and thermostat change
Coolant system full flush
Gear box oil change
Rear diff oil change
Brake fluid change
Full ramp inspection of all components

Naughty things found and fixed
Slight oil gasket leak so replaced
Seized brake calliper so replaced
Slight perish on a brake hose so front replaced

At every stage of the job Ross kept me informed. We discussed parts and it was a no brainier to use proper BMW parts after Ross explained the differences and the small price increase. I’m not mechanical but was made to understand everything that was being done and why. Smashed the MOT with not one advisory. Proud of that.
Ross you have me and my Z4 for life. I can’t complement you and your service enough and if anyone on this forum would like to contact me about what was done then please do. I’m a member of Which and will be giving RBM a glowing report as well.

Yep. Changed every year as well. I’ve read the BMW bible so always change the engine oil yearly.

Yes, a big thumbs up to Ross.

I took my MC to him to get the spacers removed, investigate raising the ride height on the coil-overs and work out why one of the back-boxes was wobbling around!

I'm going back on Wednesday so he can change the rubber hanger for the back-box, and to hopefully get the ride height to a point where I can get over speed bumps without grounding.

Luckily I live just 10 miles along the A30 from his workshop.

This is exactly what I wanted to see. I’ve just received a quote from him for an Inspection 1, but being a new garage I was hoping to see some reviews and this has won me over, as I’ve heard some other positive reviews too. I’ll get it booked in!!

Ross is a top guy with many years as a BMW trained tech, he has been doing roof motor for years and knows his way around BM's, you have nothing to worry about

Yes, he spent 15 years at Sytner so must have worked on Z4s when they were still being taken to main dealers.

And he has a big drum of Shell oil in his workshop - which is what BMW use now!

It was, and he did but it seems Will may not be overjoyed about having a competitor - I'll explain next time I see you (or PM me)!
