Update - BM Automotive Solutions near Wolverhampton

Post by M1k3yC » Thu Sep 12, 2019 9:01 pm

I came across this independent specialist today and it's in a very convenient location for me. I searched the forum but couldn't find any discussion on the Company. Has anyone used BM Automotive and, if so, what was your experience?

Website: https://www.bmautomotivesolutions.co.uk/

Thanks in advance!

:tumbleweed:

On the plus side, nobody posted a horror story! I will try and find time over the next few weeks to drop in on a weekday and check the place out.

It's a shame that the thread on here about BMW Indies can't be pinned - I've given up trying to find it on the search function!

But they have a positive review on here if that helps:- https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/top ... 2&t=796191

Mr Tidy, thanks - that's a very useful link!

Thanks, maxman, useful to know.

I'll probably try BM at some point because it's on one of the routes I take to the gym I use just outside Wolverhampton. Having read a few posts on here I'm thinking about some preventative maintenance and I don't want to pay the main stealer tax for that.

I took my E86 to BM Automotive for its MOT last week and was very impressed. The guys who work there, Dave and Mark, are both ex-main dealer techs with many years of experience. I spent a lot of time chatting to Dave and will return the Z to him in due course for some preventative maintenance (gearbox oil, diff oil, and coolant change at a minimum).

hong kong phooey, sorry for the delayed reply, I only just saw this. IMHO their prices are not the cheapest but fair and certainly lower than the main dealer. I have since been back to have the coolant, manual gearbox oil, and rear differential oil changed on my E86. I'll PM you with prices, just because I don't feel that it's completely fair to post their exact prices on a public forum where it'll be available for years to come and outdated!
