Trial Run

Post by Taz » Sat Jul 23, 2011 3:18 pm

With my Europe trip fast approaching, less than 2 weeks hehe, tonight I am going to go and do a 1 night camp

I have bought a new tent etc so I thought it would be good to just go for the night, hopefully I will find out what I haven't got

Good luck, watch out for bear sign.
Fly Screen on the tent, roll mat for insulation and comfort to put under sleeping bag, single ring stove and kettle, mug etc etc

Making me a little homesick for my old tent thinking about it :)

On a more serious note, i don't know if they still do it but in France, and this was years ago, the municipal campsites used to have discounted rates for the first three nights. Camping is kind of a national past time in france and they're well geared up to cater for it.

Look forward to hearing how you get on :)

normally i just lie my head on my arm so don't need a pillow, but it was that bloomin cold i had to keep my arms in my sleeping bag

on a poitive note, my new tent was just the job, took half an hout to put it up, but next time it should not take much more than 10 mins

by the end of your two weeks you'll be throwing it out of the boot and it'll be up in the blink of an eye
