My trip is booked - Sail to Ijmuiden in Holland and drive to Montabauer, down to the Black Forest, thro Switzerland and over the Spluga then onto Chiavena into Lombardy - Lake Como and the same (ish) route onthe return leg - Three weeks and I can't wait!
A trip to the ring is on the cards on the return leg - Dont know if its drive around or a spectate - Tend to think the latter somehow - You know what wives are like - OOOH your going too fast!

We set off on 22nd June on the ferry to Amsterdam, then a quick blast down to the Côte d'Azur.
We don't get back till 25th July - 5 weeks in total. :driving:

I'm afraid I couldn't face that drag up from the south coast! Its a DFDS both ways for me!

Nothing to do with the fact the ferry terminal is only 20 miles away from my front door!

I did my sums for the more expensive Tyne crossing v the long drive but cheap Dover crossing - as soon as an overnight stop over (x2) and £1.40 a litre and 400 miles is put into the pot - the more expensive Tyne crossing make a lot of sense!

We're going to spend a day at Ypres - to see the trenches of Flanders on the way home.
Hence the reason for coming back via Calais.

That makes sense!

Are you going to the Menin Gate Ceremony?

We are on an evening crossing thro' chunnel.
If we arrive early enough on the night before, then we may catch the ceremony.
