Home-made Hardtop Stand

I recently picked up a hardtop for my E85, and pulled out the old hardtop stand I had made for my E36 convertible hardtop. It fits perfectly, so I thought I'd share details here for anyone who might not want to buy the generic hardtop stands from ebay...
Not exactly a conventional how to, but....
Here's the plans using measurements taken from another forum: I had a local metalwork shop use those measurements and I ended up with this A lick of paint and the addition of some foam complete it The hardtop sits perfectly upright and is completely secure Excuse the sagging headliner - I've already removed it and I plan on getting it re-covered soon All in all, it only cost the equivalent of around £25 to put together.
Hopefully this post can inspire others to put together their own hardtop stand.
