Replacing the lower grill

Post by jgu80 » Tue Oct 10, 2017 9:28 am

This is my first request for help on the forum.

Something went through the lower grill in my front bumper at the weekend and I need to replace it.

Thankfully what ever hit the car didn't damage anything else (radiator is fine) but the huge hole is less than appealing.

I have a pre face lift e85, do I need to remove the bumper to replace the grill?

Replacing the lower grill

you do im afraid. there are locking tabs all round the perimeter like press studs that come off with a pair of pliers or simmlar - try not to break them and reuse them on the new grill.

Replacing the lower grill

Thanks Jamie.

The car is now in my garage for the winter so I may as well remove the bumper, replace all the grills, restore the headlights and fit the HID kit all in one go.

Hours of fun.
