CSL seats
Hey guys.
I have an E85 f/l and recently i purchased a set of CSL seats.
i bought them mainly thinking about the value they will gain over the years.
however, i do like them a lot and i was thinking to give them a go in my car.
do they fit?
I am 6'1'' and my driving position is nearing the end of the seat rail.
will it fit?
one more problem I can think of is that, at the E85 the seatbelt down end is screwed on the seat whereas on E46 it is bolt on the chassis
I see on the net Z4s with aftermarket buckets, but I do not want Sparco or Cobra seats.
My options are either the CSLs or the OEM Mseats from the Z4M

Re: CSL seats
I will give it a go because it is a shame to have a set of genuine CSL seats and just looking at them.
it very important for me to keep the weight on low levels.
i prefer lighter seats than the OEM //M but i want to keep BMW OEM look as I said above.
BTW my car's weight with the 18s and full petrol tank is 1260kg, without driver.
I have manual seats and the M seat are both electric and heated. i like them not for these features

Re: CSL seats
i will give it a go in the weekend.
even if they fit, i will need to mod them in order to bolt on the down end of the seat belts.
it would really help if someone had any experience in retrofitting Recaros Profi/Pole Position in his Zed.
mind that i do not want to affect any safety feature of my car, like the airbags or the seat belts.
i still drive my car every day.

Re: CSL seats
Unfortunately they did not fit.
i gave them to a friend of mine who owns an E46 M3.
I will replace my standard seats with a pair of seat from a Z4M

That's a shame, they looked really good... Not that it really matters, but out of curiosity: Where exactly did it not fit?

the guy who took them is a very good friend, so it is fine by me. I have had them in storage since November, it was a shame not to be in a car
