Clutch delay valve delete

Post by scootr » Sun Feb 02, 2020 12:20 am

Searched but didn't find so just a little info on a short simple job.
Of course everything under the car is made easier if you have access to a lift.
2010 E89 3 L 6 spd. remove the rear splash guard and locate the clutch fluid line. The valve is located at the line support bracket
The delay valve may be removed using a small screwdriver to pry the clip off on each end and pulling the lines off remove the valve and plug the 2 hosed back together. We bled the slave cylinder but got no air which didn't surprise us since we lost about 3 drips of fluid in the whole process. We did put a vice grip on the supply side line before disconnecting. The valve and fittings are plastic. No tools needed simply pull up the clips and disconnect the lines. If you are wondering how much restriction this valve is see pics.

The pedal actually has feel now
