I have just collected my new Z4 today and love it but can't get my iphone4 microphone to work - connects up, makes call, downloads the contact list, but in the the call you can hear the other person but they cannot hear you. Have gone into the menus and increased the volume whilst in the call and gone through all the menus - no luck. Works fine with an iPhone3G.
Any ideas??

The Bluetooth in the z4 is too old for audio to work with the new version of Bluetooth in the iPhone 4

Mines on an 04 plate and I've managed to pair it with my iPhone 4 without any problems.
I remember reading that different vehicles came with different Bluetooth modules and some are able to pair. Seems odd that you can carry out all the functions but only that the person in the other end cannot hear you.
Have you checked the mic, it should be above the steering wheel column. If you are ringing from the phone directly through BT, the phone will come up with the options to route the call via the Z4. I assume you aren't doing this?

Re: iPhone4 bluetooth
Both my iphones (4 and 4s) and Blackberry Perl paired up fine with my BT, so maybe you have an issue with the mic on your car.
I would try pairing another phone.. and see if you have any issues.
