Hi everyone,
First of all thank you for letting me be part of the Z4 community.
I bought a 2009 E85 Z4 2.5i about a week ago and noticed small seam sealer cracks on both sides of the strut towers. The cracks seem to be located on the same location on both sides of the strut towers.
Are these cracks something I need to have checked by the bodyshop or they are just due to age of the seam sealer?
The car has approximately 60k miles and is running a set of E92 M sports 19” wheels.
Thank you in advance!

Cracked strut tower seams?
It could be just the sealer drying and not flexing anymore.
However, the top mount towers can deform if the suspension is uprated or the car is driven pretty hard.
Get down level with the three mounting nuts and look to see if they are all pointing straight up, or starting to face outwards.
It's not the end of the world if they are starting to move a bit. You can get reinforcing plates that sit up under the dome, between the metalwork and the top mount.
