Brake problem

Post by Bumwah » Wed Sep 08, 2021 3:14 pm

Sometimes when applying the foot brake the pedal is hard to press and braking is poor. If I stop the car and restart brakes are fine also when brakes are playing up acceleration is not as responsive.
Any help, suggestions greatly appreciated

Classic brake servo booster vacuum leak, either the check-valve or pipe split/collapsed, or the servo booster unit. Neither are hard or massively expensive jobs (in the big scheme of things) there are lots of previous posts and youtube vid's on the topic.

Probably a fault or air leak with the Servo Unit causing this, check all hoses for leaks and main unit diaphram inside has not split.
