Sometimes when applying the foot brake the pedal is hard to press and braking is poor. If I stop the car and restart brakes are fine also when brakes are playing up acceleration is not as responsive.
Any help, suggestions greatly appreciated

Are any of the calipers stuck?
Check each wheel and see if one is very hot compared to the others.
