Hydraulic lines from roof motor
Help
Just replaced rusty motor on roof lifting pump and all working well.......except when motor turns roof does not move
Hydraulic oil is topped up and not leaking
Rear parcel shelf is located correctly
Hydraulic isolating lever is in the correct place
Front and rear locking motors all working correctly
I assume the hydraulic lines need bleeding......does anyone know how to do this?
Hopefully

Not sure
I assume this is the bronze coloured button that is beneath the black plate attached to the pump end of the hydraulic on off red ring?

That’s it. The red ring should be horisontally. On mine I had to adjust the bowden cable slightly.James Douglas wrote: ↑Sun Aug 01, 2021 3:23 pm Not sure

The red ring seems ok and returns fully. On owning the far end to f this cable it appears as if when there’d ring is fully in the catch allows the bronze button to protrude. Do you know how far this comes out? Mine only just collect mes out about 0.5 mm?
Can you open up the top of the pump to release this button /plunger?

Put some light oil on the brass button and use something to push it down and let it return up, work it so it gets the oil around it and ensure it moves freely when the red ring is pulled and locked for manual operation. Release the red ring and ensure the brass valve rises to its closed position. See if that restores the pressure by operating the roof. There is no need to bleed the system it will self bleed as long as you have sufficient oil in the reservoir. Level should be around the halfway mark, there is a mark on the side of the reservoir to indicate the level.
