Sidelight bulb struggles...help!!

Post by Danz4coupe » Sun Jul 25, 2021 2:14 pm

Changed my sidelight bulbs to led but now one is flickering so am gonna change back to standard bulbs.
For the life of me can't remember how to get the bulb out once back cover is off and having fingers like sausages and scared to break something need some help. Does the bulb come out as a small holder from inside the bit with the two silver Allen bolts or does the big surround comes out as one big unit?
Thanks..

Never had to take sidelight bulbs out but it looks the centre part rotates and it will then pop out. You can see the 'open' and 'close' directional arrows on the tabs

Yeah, didn't spot that so its the whole unit that comes out leaving the silver Allen bolts behind. Maybe I have to loosen them a bit first to make it rotate easier.
Anyone know for sure though?

You could code out the bulb checks using NCS.
3.0si Sport: F10 Illuminated ZHP, Retrofit Cruise, OE Stubby, Gaptech RCH+, Kenwood BT73DAB + Handsfree, HIDs, LED Sidelights, OE LED Number Plate Lights, Custom LED strip bootlight.

My sidelight bulb holder just pulls straight out - it doesn't look like the one in your photo :|
(My car has Halogen headlights)
I recently fitted Osram LED sidelight bulbs which work really well.

This looks like the angel eyes that come with the xenon lights.
They do just twist and pull out. I assume they have been modified to allow for replacement bulbs rather than replacing the whole unit.
I tried led bulbs but we're really dim so I replaced them with normal bulbs but 20w osraam ones, much better now.
