Post by Weelawser » Tue Jul 20, 2021 1:12 pm

Finally getting round to fitting kits to my calipers but man getting the dust boot evenly distributed over the caliper body is testing my patience :headbang:
Any tips may prevent divorce

Caliper refurb

Maybe a very thin, instrument style, screwdriver, run carefully round inside the boot whilst pushing it down over the body may help?

And of course, pushing the pistons fully home will make location on them much easier. Try doing it like that and they'll pull the boot back off the caliper.

Another way may be to locate on the piston first, then push that fully in so it holds the seal against the body while you push it into place.

Always happy to help if I can.

If the forum helped you, why not help the forum back. Thats the Z4 way!
