E85 Wind deflector not deflecting..

Post by Tiger78 » Mon Sep 21, 2020 11:53 am

hi,

my 2003 came with a wind deflector as standard. it clips on and also has storage clips in the boot also. When driving i think its pretty useless...i cam from a MGTF which had the standard fitted and that was night and day. Am i missing something or is there an aftermarket one that deflects the wind better?

Thanks in advance
Tim

Hmmm. Have you tried it without, to see what the difference is?
Maybe the MG spoiled you?
With windows up it is pretty good I think.

my first z4 came without anything so i bought an aftermarket once, just clear pespex. my second one had the proper z4 thing, and i have to say by comparison, the z4 one was pants compared to the sheet of perspex.

Also make sure your seat is in the lowest possible position in terms of height. That makes a huge difference.

don't suppose you have a photo of your hoop deflector :? not sure if i have. i think its maybe being 6ft 2 I'm catching more and that's with the windows up and seat down. my 9YO daughter seems to get hair issues a lot also when her hair isn't tied back...

I bought my wife a hat instead. Nearly as expensive as a deflector too.
