hi all, new to the site, so far very impressed with the knowledge shared on various subjects. I wonder if anyone can shed some light for me.
Couple of weeks ago after using my car (2007 z4 roadster) the central locking wouldn't work so locked it manually then reopened the door and started it up and set the alarm off and couldn't get it off. after disconnecting the battery and doing a bit of googling thought it might be flat batteries in my keys, got these replaced by themasterlocksmith.com and returned within three days. This did not solve the problem, that's when I came across this forum and read that it could be the gm5 module. So after nearly breaking me back and neck I've got it out. Anybody got any recommendations for getting it repaired. Can I also use my car with this module removed. Thanks in advance for any info.

GM5 Problems
Your windows, windscreen wipers wont work either as well as other things. Before you spend money check fuse 10, if this has blown the GM5 will not work. It is not the alarm that you can hear it is a tamper siren which will activate randomly while the battery is connected.
Hope this is a cheap fix for you though mate.

Cheers for the replies, it’s not the fuse, but noticed in the older thread one of the members can repair so have messaged him. Thanks again

GM5 Problems
I used this company off e bay
Just goggle gm5 eBay cones up
Really good back in 10 days and fixed the issues
I think if the module is not broken they only charge you a small fee

GM5 Problems
Did you ever get to the bottom of your issue? I'm having the exact same problems with my X3.
