Hi all
I wonder if anyone can advise on a little problem I have
I’ve just replaced my vvt motor as old one was running to earth
I can hear the new motor working but when I put my scanner on to
Perform a rest I get reset failed
Also if I try to to reset the limits it tells me to wait till it gets to 1mm before settling but it only ever gets to .07
Could I also have a duff eccentric sensor could this be giving the vvt motor a false reading
Car starts ok has no codes but does idil a little lumpy
Thanks for any info

Has your scanned got the diagnostic mode for the vvt motor?

What scanner are you using? The valvetronic motor reset is a pretty advanced function which I would expect to be out of the realms of most standard scanners.
You may have to resign yourself to the fact that you need INPA, and lets face it for what it costs it's a bit of a no-brainer. Search BMcables on Google.
