So, having just got my air on fixed and locking working off the key fob, the alarm seems to randomly go off - not straight away, but 5 minutes or 30 minutes after locking. Roof is up etc. Any thoughts please ?

Alarm problem
Try disconnecting the bonnet alarm switch. It's at the back of the engine bay, in the middle. If it cures your problem, they are about 35 quid from BMW.
Now gone.......Z4MR. 2007. Boring silver.

My bonnet switch was acting up, you can actually take the switch apart and clean the contacts, mine had a fine white oxidation on them. Some light sandpaper is all that’s needed to clean the contacts.
Works fine now.
