Hi guys. I recently bought a 2.5si e85 which has an intermittent issue.
Initially the navigation screen would freeze which I thought could be disc reading error or something but I've recently noticed the indicators occasionally stop working for a short period (less than a minute). usually turning the indicator off and back on fixes it.
But I've noticed that when either faults happens the airbag light comes on for a bit. It goes off after 30secs or so.
I'm guessing I have either an earth issue or can bus issue.
Can the can bus cause these problems?
Thanks, Johnny.

Yes. It will be the airbag control module which sits just below the coin holder between the seats. If you remove the coin holder you will see it. You might even have enough access to unplug the connector which will probably be corroded. Unplugging it will solve your canbus problems but if course will result in an airbag light. New module will need coding to the car.

Yes to the 2nd hand thing, no to the coding with Carly. Need ISTA and NCSexpert.
